Soap bubble to Russia

Some particles know when they are being watched.

Remember the Boos from the Super Mario series? They move towards you when you're not watching, but the second you turn, they freeze in shame. In a similar, but opposite way, scientists have found that unstable uranium stops decaying when they observe it!
After a day of looking at some unstable uranium, scientists in Texas noted that the uranium would decay when they weren't looking, and stop the decay when they did look at it. It was as if the element knew when it was being observed. They thought it might be a fluke, but the results were the next day. They reported it to other labs, who corroborated their story!

A little Heisenberg

We have to remember
that what we observe
is not nature herself,
but nature exposed to our
method of questioning.
-Werner Heisenberg

A little Democritus

By convention there is color,
by convention sweetness,
by convention bitterness,
but in reality there are atoms and space.
-Democritus (400 BC)

Just a little of the Physics humor I get to see

A neutron walked into a bar and
asked how much for a drink.
The bartender replied,
"for you, no charge."

ok so that is actually a chemistry joke, I forgot I was into the Chem.

Physics of bubbles

Just another about space and bubbles and physics

So far in physics I've learned...

The Indy 500 is thus named because cars finish at zero if they are lucky enough to finish. Football coaches spent way to much time pacing on the sidelines displacing valuable yardage which might come in handy sewing. And to determine a skiers displacement, slope must be another consideration. phhewww.

So it looks like TSC may be into schooling.

Any one interested in learning soaping or high school or hobbies...? I, myself, am taking Physics and Organic Chemistry, Anatomy and Physiology, and perhaps....Pie Making, along with Biology. These are instructor lead and with testing....and I get to view how you are doing. Most of the courses do not need extra books, some do however, and if  you are taking pie making you will need to have pie plates and an oven.  A rolling pin might come in handy. Or a very good imagination! This is a non profit site any fees or donations go directly into buying more courses to be given out to those in need. There is a limit of 100 students enrolled in any given course at a time.
You need a computer and internet access. Each course has a limit of 6 months. I am not the school, I am an entry way. Fees range from 30.00 - 130.00 depending on course. Advanced Chemistry is 125.00 with certificate, less expensive without certificate, if I remember. Yes you get a certificate for completing the course. Most can be applied to school. By doing bulk it should be less. You can take up to five concurrently.
I am starting my courses tonight. Having taken a course already from them my stress level and test anxiety have diminished..... Well kind of, I will be also attempting to audit the courses so I can finally pronounciate  the terms correctly.
In soaping, Organic chemistry is important.

Bartending and Mixology

Seems to have a liability attachment for special events holders. Umm. If you appear drunk (intoxicated) and are given more alcohol, the person who gave you the alcohol can be charged with negligence....hmmmm...I see a possible countersuit! I guess that is where the mixology comes in handy.

|Today a student was rationalizing how having a dry campus would only entice students to want to drink more....Economics was the basis of his argument. not allowed, want it more. Put forth.. no drinking or no university... one person burst out laughing, another just looked up... ,the student looked concerned. He had mentioned earlier, so far there were 8 ambulances called to the university for alcohol related events so far...SO FAR! Classes only started Today!
